Handstand with the legs open in a straddle position. One of the fundamental handstand shapes and easier to balance than straight handstand. Some mobility and correct pelvic positioning help. Recommended: side split workshop. Suitable for beginners.

Human Flag

Sunday 8 Mar 2026, 13-14.10

The Human Flag is an impressive skill — but when done incorrectly, it can be very demanding (and even harmful) for the shoulders.

In this workshop we take our time to learn the technique properly and make sure common mistakes are avoided. Thorough warm‑ups and supporting exercises are included in every workshop — but especially in this one!

Press to handstand

Sunday 8 Mar 2026, 13–14.10

A straight-arm entry into handstand either from a bear position (half press) or straddle sit (full press). A stylish and demanding movement that challenges both mobility and strength. Requirement: 10 s handstand against the wall.

The workshop is held on the balcony.

Muscle up

Handstand "building blocks"! We go through the technique thoroughly with lots of drills. Suitable for beginners, no prerequisites.

The workshop is held on the balcony.

Swinging and giants on high bar

Sunday 22.3.2026 at 13-14.10

We practice swinging on the high bar! Suitable for both beginners and more advanced athletes. We learn how to build bigger swings, and if the swings get high enough, we practice going over the bar (giants). Training is done both with straps and without straps.

Safe Handstand Bail

Sunday 22.3.2026 at 13-14.10

Do you want to handstand but fear falling over? Learning a safe exit is the key to handstand balance. In this workshop we conquer the fear of falling! Suitable for beginners.

The workshop is held on the balcony.

Kip (on high bar)

Sunday 29.3.2026 at 13-14.10

A classic and dynamic way to get on top of the bar with straight arms. We go through the technique step-by-step with multiple progression drills. Suitable for beginners – everyone can practice at their own strength level.

The different shapes of handstand: tuck, straddle and straight

Sunday 29.3.2026 at 13-14.10

In this workshop you will learn different handstand shapes (the basic ones) and their techniques. Expect strength, mobility, and the right kind of brain training — upside down, of course!

Prerequisite: a safe handstand bail (controlled exit from handstand).

The workshop is held on the balcony.

Backflip

Sunday 5.4.2026 at 13-14.10

Have you dreamed of doing a backflip? In this workshop you get to practice it safely with spotting and technique drills. Suitable for beginners.

Handstand for first timers

Sunnuntaina 5.4.2026 klo 13-14.10

Do you want to try a handstand for the first time? This workshop is just for you! We'll build confidence in your hands and create an understanding of what handstanding is really about. Includes strength, mobility, and effective body awareness training. Suitable for beginners.

The workshop is held on the balcony.

Back handspring

Sunday 12.4.2026 at 13-14.10

An acrobatic skill where you jump backward through your hands back to your feet. Suitable for beginners; we train through progressions and with spotting.

Kick to handstand

Sunday 12.4.2026 at 13-14.10

How do you kick up into a handstand? Which muscles should you activate — and in what order? Come find out!

You can practice the entry either stepping in (one leg at a time) or jumping in with both legs together. We can train with or without a wall, so knowing how to bail out is not required.

Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners who want more consistency or are facing challenges in their handstand entry.

The workshop is held on the balcony.
